Showing advertisement on your website can be one of the easy way to pay your home bills as well as hosting server charges.

Though I live with the readers shouts, ads are sometimes annoying. Therefore we have awesome addons such as adblock+ for Firefox browser which makes it easy to remove ads from webpages on the internet.

But advertisement can sometimes be interesting as well, like you can find some cool offers, free downloads and various discount on relevant products whereas sometimes they are really irrelevant.

For example, I stumbled across the Times of India online newspaper website where I was reading about the Bangalore swine flu case and this is the advertisement I found out on there website.  

The ad is on the left side of the article, completely irrelevant and makes no sense at all. Seems pretty lame to me. Well, these are contextual ads and they vary depending on the type of content and other algorithm. I don’t know how the make money & dead algorithm co-relate.

I also see a lot of ICICI loans advertisement on some of the articles here, I blocked them by pasting the url in my adnetwork account If you are a webmaster you can do the same, whenever I find irrelevant ads I copy the url and put them under the competitive list filter!
