Bangaloreloka Update – Traffic analysis and Goals 2010

I couldn't resist myself from writing a personal post on bangaloreloka and thought I will let you know the progress of my blogging goals for January as I cannot wait till Feb 1st to show the overall stats.

I just wanted to make an quick update with this post that the goals that were set by me are perhaps going to be reached (that’s what I feel) but who knows anyway.. along with this post I will also mention the next set of goals. Even though I am not sure about achieving the first set of goals, I am making the next set of goals.. now that’s height of confidence? :D

Back to January 2010 Goals

I wanted to challenge myself on how good I was with blogging and I guess I have done an decent job so far. I am writing this for you because somewhere I felt people like to read reports and blog round up? If you feel this is not a good idea then let me know..

And one more thing, my goal was not to reach 1000 visitors after January, it was to reach by January. As January has 31 days, I need to have atleast 31000 visitors by the end of the month. Sounds crazy! I know, I tried and I am trying..

Anyway, the report is from Stat counter and I have 6,323 page views in 8 days. So, that’s like 790 avg visitors per day. Previously, in the month of December I have had 420 visitors per day.

So, in almost 8 days I have had 80% increase in traffic to the actual traffic..

Yes, there has been a good going as you can see from the colorful graph. I have got it all planned for the next 23 days too. Actually, I need to get 24 677 visitors in the next 23 days.. that’s like 1072 visitors everyday from now on..  I am sorry for those boring numbers :P

And, this time it's not going to be a monthly goal as I have had enough of the fun. So, I am combining Feb-March days for my next set of goals..

My February - March Goals

Enough of hard work. It was sweet and awesome to interact with people, although this will be  continued in Feb and March, but I guess it will be limited. Reason? Just want to be focus more on different projects and this site was made just for fun.. however, I will try as much as possible to comment and write! Maybe I will keep writing but part of me says limit yourself from the stress.

Here is my February – March Goals..

Number of page views – 1400?

Like I said I might not be actively blogging in february and march, I can say this only by the end of January! But keeping an goal of 1400 pageviews everyday by the end of March seems sensible to me.

So,  the combined stats of February and March should have 84,000 visitors. Let's make it  85,000 visitors ;) What say?

Subscribers Count – Nah!

I never care for subscribers but adding the button is my goal :P I am sorry for not setting up subscribe option because I was only able to spare my time on content writing and commenting.

Number of Posts in February and March – 100?

I have posted crazily in January, in these 10 days I have made 3 posts per day which is simply awesome. But, the keeping consistency is what I never cared for. Also, I don't want this blog to be the fastest growing blog on the planet :P just kidding.

Perhaps 100 posts in February and March with do it eh? That's like 1.66 posts a day.

And for those people who have been commenting here with really quality opinions; I appreciate a lot and hope you will succeed in your blogging career as well.
