Easily one of the biggest news of the day! Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) are on the verge of introducing new syllabus to Computer Science and Information Science and Engineering Students.

This latest news was on DNA newspaper, according to which the new syllabus will be implemented from September 6.

Why the new VTU Syllabus? Because VTU has joined hands with Intel Corp. and together they have come up with multicore curriculum revision for the undergraduate courses under this university. “The main objective is to have a useful and innovative institute-industry linkage,” said H Maheshappa, vice-chancellor, VTU.

So what’s new for the CS and ISE Students under VTU?

• The new syllabus revision will apply to everyone in the first year of Engineering from 2010-11.
• From second year, it will be applicable to computer science and allied streams where micro-processing technology is taught.
• In the final year of VTU engineering - an optional subject integrating all computing concepts will be added.

A good move from VTU? Time will speak for itself but having a new syllabus -- from a student point of view -- does put in a fair bit of pressure!

Alright. Indialoka and Cartoonloka are two of the fascinating sites that I’ve personally reviewed here at bangaloreloka. Not that are these sites crafted by experienced webmasters, but they went public with unique concept and a lot of dedication in making makes these sites worth mentioning.

That being said, another innovative idea is implemented by Karthik who’s been in the website business for more than 2 years now. The website: Buddyanswers, is a question answer sites, more like Yahoo answers community but the best part: it is maintained and run by group of students

The site has superb logo, a great custom wordpress theme and comes with a lot great answers. Of course, questions are answered within 24 hours (mostly by the admins and the moderatos as the site is still new)  and hopefully the site will expand in a better uncluttered form.

Another noticeable element at Buddyanswers is the number of topics to choose from. From relationship advice to Automobiles, the site covers everything in general.

Indialoka, is one of those websites that doesn’t rely on design (Period!) but the focus is mainly on the content. Quality content that drives visitors again and again. Surprisingly, there aren’t many Indian websites that provides simple how to articles for the user. Indialoka has variety of articles from best Indian torrent sites to Most expensive mobile phones in India.

The homepage of Indialoka loads extremely faster as it is content-oriented and doesn’t have large images spread anywhere around. That’s a plus point for users, and another positive thing is the series of content. While most of the websites provide information in a single page, Indialoka breakdowns a topic into series of sub-topics to help the users in getting a grip over the subject.

Indepth and unique articles as in the best gaming laptops in India and Ways to Track Lost Mobile Phones are some great reads. A lot of rich content out there on the website... So check it out.

There are a lot of topics I’ve been working on along with the team. So far, things have turned out to be pretty good and the website is shaping up nicely.

I just can’t wait for the new Harry potter movie to release in India. This is the 7th Happy Potter movie, and just one more to go after this.

Gurbaksh Chahal, an Indian-American entrepreneur, and a self-made millionaire has been a inspirational ‘character’ because of his aspiring story and the book that talks about his life and how he transformed into one rich-confident guy by living his life in America! Great stuff!

Okay, so, I was following him on the official Gurbaksh Chahal Facebook fan page (Here) after watching and reading his interviews. I like this man, and as the page says, he lives his life as this life is just too short!

But then, unfortunately, he is more of a celebrity among Indians now. While he does update his facebook fanpage regularly, they are updates of his travel plans and the hotel destinations. And such foreign pics can make you wonder how cool things can be with a lot of money! Well, don’t get me wrong, Like I said I like this man (don’t take it that way ). I appreciate his achievements. I really do! Sometimes you do wish you had lump-sum money that you could spend lavishly and roam the world -- live life the king size. This man deserves it, though!

So what’s the point? Well, being a celebrity is not that easy. You get haters and there was no exception in this case. Gurbaksh Chahal photo sharing of his lovely life and no response on the facebook page has left some of his fans in a sorry state. They are upset and some of them have come up with comments on Chahal to slow down his ‘everyday show off’ updates.

Funny that such comments have been liked by many!

Maybe, just maybe -- his fans are pissed off. Of course, I do understand that its not possible to respond to 100 comments on every update he makes. But he can certainly have a little chit chat and share more of inspirational stuff along with that. But today, at last, Gurbaksha Chahal commented after checking the hating comments.

I am glad that you (Mr. Chahal) took your time to look into your Facebook page! Well, mission was successful enough, it seems like that But don't you think its better to ignore people? The more you say them to leave, the more they would argue and stick with the official page.

I am simply promising thick juicy fruits without planting a seed in the first place. Oh, well, that’s simply unacceptable. With a month and over passed by within a blink of an eye, I’ve done nothing on this website. I haven’t even checked the comments nor replied to them! How much do I suck? A lot more than you can imagine.

You guys have made me happy. Seriously, the traffic on this website is rock steady but it matters the least to me. I’ve left working on this website for numerous reasons, I love bashing people but then I heard they say its unprofessional! Say it again and I’ll review here!

I certainly have loads of time. And because of which I have certainly expanded my revenue model from only cpc to cpa with affiliate products. Maybe I am missing all the fun by not networking with you guys! I seriously love these bloggers who hop around and make one line comments first and then read the blog post.. well some of them do, but at this blog we do have some conversation right?

I want to mention your name here but then there are like 50 of them in my best bloggers list. So I thought I could review your website or start a one on one interview (not those useless boring lengthy share some tips and make me grow interviews). That would be interesting if anyone could participate.

Update: Yes, for the moment, interviewing you all will be the best idea. I am not doing this to get some traffic really.
